We provide two programmes for studying physiotherapy: our four-year BSc Physiotherapy (part-time) and our two-year MSc Physiotherapy (full-time). Both programmes are taught at our Colchester Campus.
The aim of our physiotherapy programmes are to develop your knowledge, skills and attributes to enable you to work with clients in a health care profession concerned with maximising the potential of human function and movement. Physiotherapy involves working with people to promote their own health and wellbeing and restore movement and function, where possible, when someone has been affected by injury, illness, or by developmental or other disability.
placement gives you the chance to further develop your skills while exercising greater autonomy.
Please note: even though BSc Occupational Therapy is a part-time programme, the placements are undertaken on a full-time basis and there is no exception to this.
Fees and funding Subject to meeting UK or EU residence criteria, tuition fees for 2013 are funded by the NHS. In addition to this, you may be eligible to apply for financial support. This includes a small non-means-tested grant, a means-tested bursary from the NHS, and a reduced rate non-means-tested maintenance loan (to cover living costs) from Student Finance England.
