KIC: ProBot Automatic Profiling System
joy ride To Be Precise. Innovators in Wire Processing oatrip
San Diego, CA — KIC is showcasing the affordable and easy-to-use ProBot automatic profiling system, which automatically measures the profile for each PCB and verifies whether each PCB is processed to specification in the reflow oven. The suspect PCBs are identified and may be isolated. One method to enhance the use of an X-ray system is to have these boards then sent off to batch X-ray. Since the typi- cal batch X-ray machine only inspects less than one percent of all assembled PCBs, the ProBot allows for a more effective sampling. The ProBot also complements
AOI inspection as these machines can- not see the solder joints hidden below BGA and PoP component bodies. The ProBot’s software will store the rele- vant solder paste and component tem- perature tolerances and check that each PCB was processed in accordance with these process windows. Neither X-ray nor AOI inspec-
tion can see the molecular structure of a solder joint, and hence, they can- not judge the soldering quality. A more complete quality inspection can be achieved when combined with the
Economic and fully programmable rotary cable stripping machine with a high leel of eibility productiity and userfriendliness
Best price/performance ratio on the market Semi-automatic, multi-step stripping machine for coaxial, multi-conductor cable and single conductor wire
Intuitive color touchscreen user interface No mechanical adjustments required when changing wire sizes Very sensitive trigger sensor LED lighting

component as well as solder paste specs. In addition, the ProBot is designed to fit virtually any reflow oven on the market. The product is highly modular, allowing each user to specify the desired features. There is no longer a need to pay for unnec-
essary or unwanted capabilities. Contact: KIC, 16120 W.

Nihon Superior: Cutting Edge Solder Pastes
Osaka, Japan — Nihon Superior Co. Ltd. is presenting its high-reliability SN100C soldering paste, which has been proven in a wide range of elec- tronics assembly products. The SN100C alloy delivers a stable, sil- ver-free microstructure that can accommodate the long-term and impact strains to which a solder joint can be subjected. The eutectic char- acter of the SN100C alloy and its associated high fluidity provides faster wetting and increased spread- ability over SAC305, which is benefi-
cial in wave soldering and hand sol- dering applications as well as in reflow.
SN100C P506 D4 is a lead-free
(Sn-Cu-Ni-Ge) no-clean solder paste that can be stored at room tempera- ture for more than 150 days without deterioration. This new material will not only simplify stock management,

but also improve productivity with excellent consecutive printability. Alconano Nano-Silver Paste is
based on a patented technology that makes it possible to effectively join most metals as well as Si and SiC at low sintering temperatures, if neces- sary in nitrogen, without the nitrous or sulfurous residues that are the by- products of the sintering of some other nano-silver pastes. The highly active surface of the nano-silver par- ticles and the consequent strong cap- illary forces makes it possible to achieve strong bonds with high elec- trical and thermal conductivity at low temperature without the need
for external pressure. Contact: Nihon Superior Co.,
