www.us-tech.com Inductors Mil Approved
Gowanda, NY — Gowanda Electron- ics, a designer and manufacturer of precision electronic components for radio frequency and power applica- tions, has recently achieved military approval for four thru-hole RF induc- tor series: MLRF10M, MLRF15M, MLRF18M and MLRF17S. These in- ductors meet the military’s Qualified Product List (QPL) requirement for military spec MIL-PRF-15305. They also expand the company’s QPL-ap- proved product line and demonstrate the company’s ongoing commitment to the development and introduction of QPL products that address the needs of the military and aerospace markets.
These new wirewound, molded,
thru-hole, RF inductors are designed for RF applications in military, aero- space and defense communities. This includes use in communication, guid- ance and security applications, as well as in radar, test and evaluation and special mission applications. The shielded MLRF17S series is used specifically in applications where the close proximity of cir- cuit board components requires the inductor to be shielded to minimize interactions and ensure performance of the over- all system.

Ohmite Intros High Energy Film Resistors
Arlington Heights, IL — Ohmite Manufacturing has introduced the TP Series of thick film, high energy resistors. These resistors offer users the benefits of non-inductive per- formance and high power density. As an added feature, they provide the impulse energy capability nor- mally associated with wirewound or composition resistors. Double-sided screen printing of pulse tolerant thick film ink, coupled with a so- phisticated laser trimming process, maximize the energy withstanding capabilities of the TP Series. Occupying very little PCB real
estate, the easy-to-install TP810 (10-watt) is the first of a platform of high energy thick film resistors that the company will be introduc- ing. TP810 resistors are offered in 8 off-the-shelf resistance values rang- ing from 10W to 10kW at 5 percent tolerance. The TP810 resistors are suit- able for surge protection in high-
power electrical devices and have been successfully tested at 100 Joules (watt/seconds) over a 100 mil- lisecond pulse.
