March, 2014 Schleuniger Upgrades Weather Seal Loading Station

Manchester, NH — The new SealLoad 3100 seal loading station from Schleuniger applies weather seals to wire ends automatically. This new machine incorporates a novel seal feeding system, excellent quality and repeatability, signifi- cantly higher productivity, increased user-friendliness, low energy con- sumption, and a new design. According to the company, the

field-proven components of the SLU 3000 (previous model) have been combined with new technologies. The new SealLoad 3100 seal loading sta- tion reaches the highest level of pro- ductivity and precision. Efficient pro- cessing requires quick, trouble-free conveyance of the seals. The new belt conveyor carefully conveys the seals from the storage container quickly and reliably. The seal storage volume is now twice as large compared to the SLU 3000, enabling longer intervals between fillings. The new SealKit has a transparent storage container and can be equipped with the option- al Seal Level Monitor. Compared to its predecessor,

the SealLoad 3100 has been opti- mized and equipped with a broader range of capabilities to apply longer, wider, and smaller seals at higher production rates. The total cycle time of the new SL 3100 has been reduced by 27 percent and the changeover time by 25 percent. An optional adapter enables the

customer to use existing seal kits from third party suppliers, minimizing their investment for new production equipment. Using the setup gauge, the AdapterKit and the existing 3rd- party feed track can be prepared in advance outside of the production machine. This ensures that there are no interruptions in production and leaves the feed tracks unmodified so they can still be used with their origi- nal third party supplier machines at any time. This feature provides a high level of flexibility that translates into higher efficiency. The SealLoad 3100 is fully inte- grated into the company’s Crimp -

Weather seal loading station.

Error messages and assistance are presented in the information window and are easy to understand. A com- plete diagnostics tool enables the technician to control every aspect of the SealLoad 3100 including moni- toring and testing of all input and

output signals. Contact: Schleuniger, 87 Colin

Portable Adhesive Dispenser New from Ashby Cross

Newburyport, MA — Ashby Cross Company has introduced a new adhesive dispensing system that uses a portable dispenser and a mobile bulk refilling station for assembly and manufacturing envi- ronments requiring multiple dis- pense points or dispensers. The new DXR Adhesive Dispensing System incorporates a portable dispenser gun that provides mode control for dots, shots, or bead output, a fixed shot volume adjustment and a pre- cise mixing ratio with reproducible results. Combining the advantages of point of application metering with the use of bulk packaged materials, the system’s mobile refill station serves multiple dispensers which recharge directly for safe and simple on-site refilling. Available with fixed volumetric

dispensing ratios ranging from 1:1 to 10:1, The Ashby adhesive dispensing system has a patented mixer connec- tion which eliminates cross contami- nation. The refill station includes two 5-gallon containers and the low-main-

tenance system is suitable for use with epoxies, silicones, acrylics and MMA in a variety of applications.

Center family. The design is opti- mized for the CrimpCenter and requires minimal space due to its nar- row design. With complete software integra-

tion into the CrimpCenter EASY interface, the user can set up and control the SealLoad 3100 directly from CrimpCenter user interface.
