New Crimp Pins from Mill-Max Manufacturing
Oyster Bay, NY — Mill-Max Mfg. Corp. has added new crimp pins to its selection of wire termination products. These new pins are commercial-off- the-shelf (COTS) equivalents to Mil- Spec M39029 crimp pins. For applica- tions that do not require Mil-Spec components but demand the same re- liability and form factor, then these
both gold and tin plating options. Each of the pins has an inspection hole for viewing the wire during the crimping process and for promoting plating cov- erage inside the crimp hole. The Mill-Max part numbers
specify 10µ-in. gold plating. These pins are also available with 50µ-in. gold or 200µ-in. tin plate finish. Each plating option has a nickel under- plate. The five pin sizes accommodate wire sizes 11-28, 20-24, 16-20, 14-16, and 12-14AWG. The pins are dimen- sionally equivalent to the military parts but do not have color bands. These crimp pins are suitable
components for making up cable as- semblies. Since they conform to the dimensions of the Mil-Spec parts, the same crimp tooling can be used
