Ka2Go is driving for sales
ND SatCom By Ian McMurray
Designed for fast and easy transmissions in Ka-band, the new Ka2Go terminal from ND SatCom is showing at IBC today. The lightweight plug-and- play terminal is said to be fully KA-SAT compatible, making it perfect to combine with the NewsSpotter service, said the company. It provides up to 10Mbps data rate throughput. According to ND SatCom, the Ka2Go terminal is the most advanced vehicle mounted antenna system within the company’s Skyray antenna family. It is based, says the company, on a proven lightweight and robust design. The terminal includes a motorised positioner and automatic pointing system to any satellite. The antenna comprises a high precision offset Ka-band reflector, GPS receiver, a compass enabling auto-pointing and auto-network acquisition. In addition to the antenna, the terminal integrates a KA-SAT modem, IP router and antenna controller. 5.A05
