BW Broadcast
By Paul Watson BW Broadcast has announced the purchase of rights for sale and distribution of the Ariane brand, the original automatic gain control (AGC) utility processor.
In 2005, the original designer, David Reaves, was introduced to BW Broadcast’s CEO, Scott Incz, as Reaves wanted to revamp his Ariane concept, and to add some new features that were only possible by employing DSP. The new Ariane processor
was brought to market in less than 12 weeks. Now, BW Broadcast has taken over the rights to the Ariane products and brand, and according to Incz, it’s a faithful reproduction. “We are really pleased to have sole ownership of the respected and iconic brand; we are looking forward to marketing the amazing Ariane sequel to a larger audience, and at a new lower price point, that we are sure will prove popular with radio stations around the world.” 8.E74
HD video to multiple STBs, PVRs, tablets, smartphones, and laptops simultaneously. It also doubles as a media server for storage of personal libraries on an external USB drive. The Air5010 is a basic, one- port ADSL modem with two
important features that differentiate it from the competition. It adheres to K.21+, the highest electrical surge protection standard, a feature crucial in countries prone to brownouts, and inconsistent power grid and electric surges.
Additionally, the Air5010 incorporates automatic, safe firmware upgrades that protects against device malfunction. The AirTies Software Platform enables customers to offer their users wireless video streaming capabilities. The software will
make content on a centrally stored PVR, including VoD and interactive applications, available on any TV in a wireless home network by connecting wireless video bridges to existing set-top boxes. 5.B33,
