Showing new feature in its Cindy ad sales management solution today is developer ProConsultant Informatique (PCI). The latest addition to
Cindy’s collection of features deals with the analysis of social media audiences. In realtime, broadcasters and content providers can measure the social impact of linear broadcast content, and automatically implement the most efficient advertising strategy when exposing that same content on non-linear platforms. Cindy helps media groups
to manage their advertising sales in an integrated and dynamic way, simultaneously for all their platforms. According to the company, Cindy has been proving its worth in many different customer sites for more than a decade. Beyond offering standard ad sales features such as trafficking, handling ad inventory, placement and invoicing, Cindy includes a powerful autoscheduling module, which optimises campaign placement, across all channels. “I am fascinated by the
incredible transformations that the media industry has been undergoing for the last two decades. This passion is one of the reasons why I founded PCI 18 years ago,” said Hervé Obed, PCI’s CEO. “This profound evolution is
far from over and it’s one of the reasons we’ve always kept PCI independent. We want the agility to stay alert to market shifts and trends and to move quickly.” 2.B21
six studios in Tel Aviv, plus one MCR and two studios in Jerusalem. The two channels are broadcast from 18 FM transmitter sites and over the web. DHD and its Israeli dealer team, Broadcast Design/Onset Systems Engineering, has
provided a complete solution for the MCR: a routing system and routing panels; and configurable TFT touchscreens. The TFTs are said to provide ‘almost unlimited possibilities’, including metering, routing, signalling, managing and routing of clean
feeds using the Toolbox5 DHD configuration software. The MCR consists of a fully
redundant 52/XR Main Core with MADI Router, 52/MB Breakout Boxes for all local analogue and digital I/Os; and redundant MADI connections to every studio. In addition, a powerful talkback system is also part of the main core, providing a smart intercom system between MCR,
studios, newsroom and the Jerusalem studios.
For the studios, 52/RX mixers
were chosen in combination with the new 52/XD core and a large number of 52/MX table boxes for the producers and presenters. The system is fully modular but also customisable: every button comes unassigned to allow users to decide exactly they want to have in the system. 8.A50
