Lodge members chose four winning essays and four winning posters out of the entries submitted by the fourth graders and awarded each of the winners a $100 savings bond.
Titusville, FL, Lodge members honored Jackson Middle School seventh grader Caleb Moreland for winning the lodge’s Drug Awareness Essay Contest and presented him with a certificate and a $100 check.

Kent Island, MD, Lodge members traveled to Chicago, IL, to attend the 2011 Students Against Destructive Decisions National Conference and held an Underage Drinking and Driving workshop, which 100 young leaders and advisers attended.
Fitchburg, MA, Lodge members drove the state association’s drug awareness trailer to the Boys and Girls Club of North Central Massachusetts and gave a presentation on the dangers of drug abuse to 70 children. Teenagers watched the UR Choice UR Voice video, which features motivational speaker Milton Creagh, and younger children were given information on how drugs can affect their bodies. Lodge members also gave drug awareness pamphlets to each child who attended the presentation.
