Elks Drug Awareness Program


Bullhead City, AZ, Lodge members staffed a drug awareness booth at a Boys and Girls Club fund-raiser that had 400 attendees.


Lake Havasu City, AZ, Lodge donated $100 to support the Lake Havasu High School Project Graduation, a drug- and alcohol-free graduation night party.


Sun City, AZ, Lodge members pre- sented the Torch of Accomplishment Trophy to Arizona Charter Academy eighth grader Khalid Hudson during his eighth-grade graduation for writing the best essay on the topic of underage drinking.


Chico, CA, Lodge members staffed an interactive display on the dangers of drugs at the lodge’s tenth annual Public Safety Day Field Trip and gave drug awareness pamphlets and bookmarks to about 1,000 children and adults who attended the event.


Stamford, CT, Lodge members distributed more than 1,000 drug

GILBERT, AZ, Lodge members staffed a child safety and drug awareness table at a fitness


club and distributed about 90 packets of child safety information and about 140 drug awareness coloring books, red ribbons, and stickers. Pictured with Rochelle Monte and her son, Mitchell, is ER Quido Iannacone. In other news, the lodge sponsored two


speakers from notMYkid, an organization that helps families steer their children away from dangerous behavior, at the Arizona Crime Prevention Association’s 2011 Citizen Safety Forum and Expo, East County Event in Mesa. Lodge members also staffed a booth and gave drug awareness coloring books, red ribbons, pamphlets, and child safety bumper stickers to about 200 people who attended the event.
