Three Rivers, MI, Lodge members treated 28 veterans from the Battle Creek VA Medical Center to nine holes of golf at a local golf course followed by lunch. Lodge members gave each veteran a set of canteen books and awarded prizes to the golfer with the longest drive and to the team with the lowest score.
Dakota County, MN, Lodge members visited the Hastings Veterans Home and treated the 175 veterans residing there to a fish dinner and dessert. Lodge members also gave 24 pairs of fingerless leather gloves for wheel- chair users and 100 decks of cards to the veterans.

Greenfield, MA, Lodge members visited the Northampton VA Medical Center, treated 85 veterans to lunch, and gave each veteran a Massachu- setts Elks veteran pin.
In other news, lodge members treated about 125 area veterans, including about 50 members of the American Legion and VFW, to snacks following the annual Memorial Day Parade and gave each veteran a Massachusetts Elks veteran pin. In more news, the lodge held a solemn Memorial Service commemo- rating US military personnel who lost their lives in the service of the country. The service was held at the Elk on the Trail Monument, which is on the Mohawk Trail. The monument was erected by the Greenfield Lodge in 1923 to honor the Elks who died in World War I.
Massachusetts Elks Association sold about 700 red T-shirts and a small number of ball caps and raised more than $4,800 for its Veterans Service Committee.

Sturgis, MI, Lodge, with the help of other civic organizations, acquired and dedicated a suitable monument for US Army CPL John Carney, who served in the 188th New York Infantry during the American Civil War and whose grave marker did not previ- ously mention his service.
Winona, MN, Lodge donated $190, which was part of the proceeds from the lodge’s annual Car Show and Hog Roast fund-raiser, to the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps wounded veterans reintegrate themselves into civilian life.
Jefferson City, MO, Lodge members treated nine veterans from the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital to a patriotic ceremony, treated them all to dinner at the lodge, and gave them hats and lap robes. Lodge members also arranged for transportation for the veterans to and from the hospital.
