Pocatello, ID, Lodge donated more than $3,800 in cash and groceries to the state major project, the Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Hospital.
Joliet, IL, Lodge members participated in a Relay for Life fund-raiser and raised $9,500 for the American Cancer Society. Lodge members also pre- sented the colors during the event’s opening ceremony.
Stuart-Jensen, FL, Lodge hosted a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scouts Cameron and Cole Snyder, of Venture Crew No. 832, Boy Scout Troop No. 823, and Sea Scout Ship No. 801, all of which are lodge-sponsored. Lodge members presented each scout with a framed certificate and a US flag. For his Eagle Scout Project, Cameron made an authentic dugout canoe for the Savannas Preserve State Park’s education center. St. Petersburg, FL, Lodge members awarded $1,000 scholarships to students Erin McEntegart, Tatiana Netterfield, and Olivia Wilkenson. In other news, the lodge, with the
help of scouts from lodge-sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 334, held a Flag- Retirement Ceremony and honorably disposed of 45 worn US flags. In more news, the lodge donated $1,400 to Northeast High School to purchase ten new drum stands for the band. The lodge also donated $500 to Camp Redbird. The camp is a project of the City of St. Petersburg’s Thera- peutic Recreation Program and provides camp experiences to children with disabilities and chronic illnesses. The lodge also donated $250 to the
Ovation School of the Arts to help fund scholarships for needy children, and lodge members treated five visiting US Army soldiers to lunch at the lodge to thank them for their service. Additionally, the lodge held a fund-raiser in cooperation with a local restaurant, which donated 10 percent of what Elks spent at the restaurant on one day to the Elks National Foundation. The event raised $140 for the foundation.
In further news, the lodge donated the use of its hall to volunteers from

the Bay Pines VA medical facility so that they could hold a surprise party for one of their fellow volunteers.
Sanford, FL, Lodge held a Wing Night fund-raiser and raised more than $310 for lodge charities. The lodge also sponsored six children to attend the Florida Elks Youth Camp, which is one of the state major projects.
Sarasota South, FL, Lodge members awarded bicycles to the ten students at Blanche H. Daughtrey Elementary School who showed the greatest improvement in reading.
Titusville, FL, Lodge held a Fishing Tournament and treated nine children to a day of fishing, during which they competed to catch the biggest and the smallest fish. First-place winner Kallen Pineiro won a fishing trip for two on a fishing boat. Second-place winner Preston Pineiro won a dinner for two at a local seafood restaurant, and third-place winner Samuel Dandridge won a fishing rod and reel. The other six children each received a small rod and reel as a prize. In other news, the lodge held a Sock Hop fund-raiser and raised $3,000 to help support the Brevard County High School Bowling Program, which is supported by community associations and bowling leagues rather than by public money.
Peoria, IL, Lodge members provided about 250 sandwiches, as well as drinks, potato chips, and ice cream, to nursing home residents attending a dinner and dance at the local Ameri- can Legion post.
Princeton, IL, Lodge members awarded scholarships worth a total of $5,000 to students Kolton Rewerts, Tristian Hicks, and Colton Pate.
Bluffton, IN, Lodge used part of a $1,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to donate $500 to the City of Bluffton to help place a US flag on each down- town streetlight from Memorial Day through the end of September.
Muncie, IN, Lodge donated a $1,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to the Muncie Police Department to help purchase a new police dog.
Peru, IN, Lodge held a Dinner-Dance fund-raiser and raised $2,700 to assist a young single mother who is being treated for cancer.
In other news, the lodge held its annual Golf Scramble fund-raiser and raised $1,200 for the state major project, which supports cancer research centers at Indiana University and Purdue University.
Atchison, KS, Lodge donated $500 to a Walk fund-raiser for the Osteogen- esis Imperfecta Foundation, which works to discover cures and treat- ments for osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle bone disease.
Fort Scott, KS, Lodge, with the help of the local VFW men’s auxiliary, held a Kids Fishing Derby and awarded a prize to each child who participated. Lodge members also awarded a prize to the children in each of three age-
