Bellevue, OH, Lodge held its 36th annual Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony at Bellevue High School. Lodge members honored 148 students for making the honor roll during each grading period of the 2010–2011 school year. Among the honorees were 11 seniors who made the honor roll each grading period for four years. Lodge members presented each honoree with a ribbon, a medal, and a certificate. In addition, lodge members presented a gift card to each of the four-year honor roll students. In other news, the lodge held its 41st annual Bellevue Senior High School Invitational Track and Field Meet, in which more than 675 athletes, comprising eight girls’ teams and seven boys’ teams, took part. The lodge donated the medals, ribbons, plaques, and trophies that were given to the top six athletes in each event, and lodge members volunteered as officials and timekeepers and also served in other capacities.


In more news, lodge members staffed a food tent during the ninth annual Bellevue Community Days festival and raised $5,000 for the lodge scholarship and youth programs over the course of three days.


Parma, OH, Lodge held its annual Recognition Program and, with the help of local officials, honored a Citizen of the Year, Outstanding Student of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, and Police Officer of the Year from each of the communities of Brooklyn Heights, Parma, and Parma Heights and presented each honoree with a framed certificate. In other news, lodge members honored Shiloh Middle School student Preston Vinyard and Green Valley Elementary School students Devin Kozar and Thomas Chmura in ceremonies at their schools for their performance in the Ohio Northeast District Americanism Essay Contest and presented each of them with a savings bond from the district worth $100 for third place or $200 for first place. Preston finished third in the seventh- and eighth-grade division, while Devin and Thomas finished first and third, respectively, in the fifth- and sixth-grade division.


Bend, OR, Lodge donated $250 to Special Olympics Oregon’s High Desert Program, which is the local program that serves Deschutes and Crook Counties.

Coquille Valley, OR, Lodge used a $1,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to purchase a camera and an LCD projector and donated them to Coquille Valley School.


Keizer, OR, Lodge held a Garage Sale fund-raiser and raised nearly $1,300 for the Elks National Foundation. Lodge members also participated in a Relay for Life fund-raising event and
