p78 Why UCD Business?

When you study at UCD Quinn School of Business, you’re attending one of the world’s leading business schools. We’re the only Irish school accredited by both AACSB (the top American accreditation) and EQUIS (the top European accreditation). We’re also the only Irish member of CEMS, an international alliance of leading business schools and international companies.

Here, the excitement of university life combines with progressive and innovative business programmes to offer you a real insight into the world of business. You will study with the best and brightest in Ireland, and our international exchange programmes mean you’ll mix with talented students from around the world – whether you’re meeting students visiting UCD or you’re studying abroad.

You don’t have to decide your career path right away. You will study a broad variety of topics, so that by third year you can choose to concentrate on those areas of business that interest you most.

We’ll prepare you for your future… wherever it takes you.

p126 Your First Year Experience

In September 2011, we introduced a new and updated Commerce curriculum. During your first year of this new programme we’ll introduce you to the core learning skills necessary to succeed academically, as well as developing your knowledge of the foundations of business, how it works and its place in society.

UCD Quinn School of Business will provide you with a supportive and welcoming environment where you’ll be encouraged to develop yourself personally and professionally. You’ll meet experts from among our lecturers, our graduates and other successful business people. And you’ll be supported by our small group peer mentoring programme: a specially assigned and experienced Quinn School student will help you to get to know the ropes, answer your questions and offer advice on where to go, how to fit it all in and how and when to join clubs and societies, which will help you make new friends.
