Teoretical Physics while developing your knowledge and expertise in problem solving, using analytical and computational techniques, which have wide application in, for example, biophysics, econophysics, computational nano- physics and simulation science.
What will I study? Tis is a sample pathway for a degree in Teoretical Physics. Topics include electromag- netism, mathematical modelling, mechanics and special relativity, vector calculus, thermal physics and materials, computational science, quantum mechanics and nuclear physics.

If I had to explain why I study Teoretical Physics in one sentence, it would be “I want to understand.” I want to under- stand why our universe is the way it is and why objects act the way they do. Te degree involves more Maths than other Physics
degrees, which is why I chose it. Two of my favourite Maths subjects so far have been Maths Modelling and Calculus of Several Variables, where we learned maths tools that we’re using now in Physics classes like Electromagnetism and Stellar Astrophysics. I’m not sure yet what I want to do when I finish my degree. Any job where I can use the Maths and Physics I’ve learned to discover even more about the world would make me happy!
