Living on Campus Coming to live on campus at UCD as a first-year student is an exciting and liberating experience as, for most of you, it will be your first time liv- ing away from home. But it can also be a chal- lenging time as you get to grips with your new environment. UCD Residences gives priority to first-years as we recognise you may need a lit- tle more support to help you get started at UCD. Te current allocation of on-campus places includes 832 spaces held exclusively for first- years, but in our experience we will accommo- date almost 1,100. UCD Residences provides accommodation

for undergraduates across all of its locations, in apartments, halls and catered accommoda- tion. Tere is a mix of types of accommodation with a range of prices and facilities. Our newest location is Roebuck Castle, which is a catered facility and offers students the comfort of hav- ing their meals prepared for them in the on-site restaurant. Several new initiatives, like our Res Life programme and the new gym located in Roebuck, help foster a sense of community within the residence. Specially adapted facilities are provided for students with disabilities.

Tis is then followed by a verification process in August: once you receive your offer you will have a window of time in which to accept and finalise your room booking.
