Not only is Nugen previewing VisLM 3, an updated version of the company’s loudness meter, but it has also
unveiled its new AB Assist quick comparison tool in Hall 7. Updates to the VisLM loudness meter include user-defined program segments suitable for projects that require multiple integrated measurements, such as between ad breaks. Meanwhile, VisLM 3 now supports up to 22.2 channels and includes stem monitoring and loudness measurement for separate deliverables. VisLM 3 features a host of new innovations to manage loudness
changing loudness standards without having to wait for a point release update. Designed to remove subjectivity and biases, Nugen’s AB Assist plug-in allows users to compare multiple pieces of audio, including different takes, plug-in options, mix revisions and versions of a master. To remove any subjectivity or biases in the comparison, blind tests can also be conducted. AB Assist provides the ability to
receive and compare up to four audio sources and to compare stereo versions of surround mixes in any channel count. 7.P24
Aiming to fully simplify caption correction and translation workflows, Venera Technologies has completely automated its cloud-native CapMate caption/subtitle verification and correction technology. The enhancement enables CapMate to automatically analyse captions, detect issues, and then correct them, generating corrected caption files without any manual intervention. If desired, the auto- corrected and the uncorrected versions are still available to review. The
company is hoping it will increase caption/
subtitle QC workflow efficiencies for customers with large inventory of content to process.
In addition, CapMate also has the capability to translate the primary caption file into other user languages, giving the user the ability to review and generate new translated caption files in various caption file formats.
