SOUND DEPARTMENT IN A BOX DPA Microphones BY KEVIN EMMOTT


Featuring an array of its condenser microphones and more than 20 accessories, DPA Microphones is showcasing its new DLS4000 location sound kit at IBC. Designed to create the most comprehensive solution possible, the kit is based on input from professional sound engineers working within the film and broadcast industries. Included in the kit are two DPA 4097 Core micro shotguns and one 4098 Core supercardioid mic. For boom miking applications, it includes a pair of both the 4017B shotgun and 4018C compact supercardioid microphones. The DLS4000 also has a selection of mics from DPA’s 4060 series of miniature omnidirectional microphones, including two each of the 4060, 4061 and 4071 Core

Which trends or themes do you expect to emerge during IBC2023? AI’s increasing prominence cannot be overlooked and its impact will soon be felt in virtual production. As content creation costs decrease, virtual production, traditionally restrained by high asset creation expenses, will speak to a broader audience.


What are your priorities for the next 12 months? Our core aim is to offer true value to our client. On that purpose, we will imagine what’s next and

DPA’s DLS4000 location sound kit contains nearly two-dozen accessories


omnidirectional mics, as well as one 4661 Core heavy duty omnidirectional mic.


A range of lavaliers for close miking are also included, with four 6061 Core omnidirectional subminiature microphones (two each in beige and black) and two white 6060 Core omnidirectional subminiature mics.

Content blockchain expert Eluvio has unveiled its FAST channel video software, which allows broadcasters to leverage blockchain for stream delivery, rights management and advertising.


It expands on the digital supply chain solutions that Eluvio has announced with Telstra, MGM, Sony, and the recent Web3 video distribution solutions for Warner Bros.


Also on its stand in Hall 8, the company is showcasing how its Eluvio Content Fabric provides live and


file-based content publishing, transcoding, packaging, sequencing, dynamic and static distribution, and minting of derivative NFTs for all ranges of content experiences.
