NEW TELEGLIDE CALLS FOR RECESS Telemetrics BY DAVID FOX

A TeleGlide robotic camera trolley with tracks that can be recessed unobtrusively into the fl oor has been developed by Telemetrics to “make the studio safer and give designers greater freedom”. The TG-5 offers improved performance thanks to built-in LiDAR sensors, an upgraded servo drive system, and a more aesthetically pleasing housing that can easily be

recessed into a production studio or corporate presentation venue fl oor. Michael Cuomo, VP, Telemetrics, said: “Unlike any robotic camera track and trolley system on the market, the new TG-5 trolley is designed to be embedded into and fl ush with the fl oor, making it ideal to blend into innovative set designs without the track showing or causing safety issues for the crew/talent. This will allow studio engineers and designers to create new types of sets with AI-assisted, full robotic camera effi ciency.”

For safety, the TG-5 has laser scanners at each corner so that if a person walks across the track, built-in x-y plane sensors will

automatically stop the trolley. LEDs also light up to indicate if a person or object is in its path. 12.G43

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE GIVES PTZ CONTROL THE PERSONAL TOUCH Electric Friends BY DAVID FOX

Robotics specialist Electric Friends is showing its AI-driven robotic control system, axisctrl.AC2, and, as part of that, its new AC2PTZ software for smooth pan/tilt/zoom camera control from the AC2 user interface. AC2PTZ includes AI-powered, personalised image framing, face tracking with dynamic pose positioning, and seamless automatic camera shots. The vendor-agnostic software tool can

height, hair volume, preferred positioning and other personal preferences. It can also integrate with studio automation systems, such as Viz Mosart.

human errors by automatically recognising the presenter in the studio and adjusting the PTZ cameras accordingly, taking into account the presenter’s

Sven Magnus Jakobsen, Head of Sales for AC2 at Electric Friends, said: “PTZ camera providers offer a wide range of camera systems that give excellent value for money for a studio operation. The AC2PTZ adds a new level of automation and smooth operations. Broadcasters can do more with less and free up resources in their control room.” 11.D34

MAM RECOGNISES OMC RELATIONSHIPS FOR IMPROVED COLLABORATION Perfect Memory BY KEVIN EMMOTT

assets produced throughout the production of a fi lm interoperable and accessible to everyone in real time.

Making its IBC debut, Perfect Memory is showing the fi rst asset management software to provide native integration of MovieLabs’ Ontology for Media Creation (OMC).

This classifi cation method,

recognised as a reference by fi lm and TV production globally, describes the production process for creative works and the relationships between them: from script and preproduction through to fi lming, editing and postproduction. The challenge has been to make all the data and

Perfect Memory’s integration embeds interconnected AI modules, as well as a semantic engine, to collect and enhance content such as videos, photos, audio fi les and text documents. Perfect Memory says the platform is able to generate a complete reasoning process from unstructured data scattered across IT ecosystems and transform them into valuable assets. Steny Solitude, President and Founder, Perfect Memory, said: “Ontologies are powerful tools for collaboration and decision

MovieLabs in their market evangelisation, but also to be immediately operational for the needs of production studios.” 8.D83a
