hoping to move on from what has been a torrid time across the world, dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of writing there appears to be some light at the end of a year-long tunnel, so we look forward to a gradual return to some normality as 2021 progresses. However, it is likely that many aspects of


life will have been permanently altered as a result of the events of 2020, and we will bring you articles from leading experts to help assess the state of play in the personal care market. This month we feature articles focused


on hygiene, and this looks set to be a key area for some time to come. The personal care industry has proved itself to be part of the frontline during the pandemic and we are continuing to develop and refine sanitiser formulations to improve efficacy and reduce the negative impact on people’s skin health. Ingredient suppliers have been working hard


to help formulators create products that retain moisture in the skin despite repeated use of sanitisers and we will keep readers up to date with developments in this sphere. In addition, for the new-look magazine,


we have brought together some of the most knowledgeable people from the worlds of finished product, ingredient supply and cosmetic science education to form our Editorial Board, who will assist in directing the editorial content of the magazine and provide unique insights from their experience in the personal care industry. We will introduce readers to the Editorial Board members over the next few issues, beginning this month with NYSCC Chairman and Estée Lauder Innovation Manager, Gino Macalino. We look forward to hearing your feedback on


the new Personal Care Global, so please do send me a message or come to our stand at one of the next industry events, when they are back up and running again. We are very excited about our new magazine, but very much value your opinions and contributions to help us continue to evolve and improve Personal Care Global, our App, website and the Little Books.
