SCHUNK Introduces Universal Workpiece Holder for Depaneling
Morrisville, NC — SCHUNK Elec - tronic Solutions has developed MAGNOPLATE, a universal work- piece holder for depaneling machines that places magnetic carrier pins with a milling head on a support plate. This results in lightning-fast brackets for new assembly groups. Jobs can be started more quickly, without having to wait for the time- consuming production of suitable workpiece carriers. EMS providers with large prod-
uct variance can benefit from this automation. They are confronted with the challenge of processing thousands of assembly groups (panels) each month. With MAGNOPLATE, even the smallest series can be machined quickly and economically. MAGNOPLATE consists of a
support plate, magnetic carrier pins and CAD software. When a new order is placed, an employee loads the CAD data of the assembly into the software of the depaneling machine and then virtually deter- mines the position of the carrier pins. Next, the milling head comes
into play, in which a setting sleeve is clamped, not a milling cutter. With this setting sleeve, the milling head grips magnetic pins, which are stored in magazines along the edge of the carrier plate, and positions them on the baseplate. A suitable workpiece holder is created in minutes and
Cogiscan Premiers TTC Go! in North America
Bromont, Quebec, Canada — Cogi - scan has released a faster, more effi- cient and error-proof portable opera- tor interface, TTC Go! As part of Cogiscan’s ongoing commitment to its industry-leading suite of material control and other TTC applications, the company is showing TTC Go! for the first time in North America at IPC APEX 2020. This new application is a major
upgrade to the widely used portable operator interface. Operators require simple and intuitive tools to run pro- duction. This new application is com- pletely redesigned to take full advan- tage of Android 7+ supported mobile devices. The new TTC Go! simplifies
production tasks with a modern and user-friendly, handheld interface with intuitive navigation features. The app can be downloaded on any Android-supported device. It allows users to upgrade outdated technolo- gy that will no longer be supported by PDA vendors. It can save hard- ware costs by utilizing modern, reli- able and less expensive devices that
can be easily upgraded. Contact: Cogiscan, Inc., 28-B

depaneling can begin. Another component of MAGNO-
PLATE is a patented fixing plate with holes, which is placed on top of the carrier pins. It can be produced using the CAD software and the milling head of the depaneling machine. The fixing plate ensures that the carrier pins do not move during depaneling. This ensures that small, sensitive assembly groups are not damaged during the milling process. The fixing plate also ensures a faster workflow. The corresponding CNC program can
be loaded automatically by using a printed QR code. The fixing plate is only 0.06 in. (1.5 mm) thick and can
be stored easily in drawers. Contact: SCHUNK Electronic Solutions, 211 Kitty Hawk Drive,
