February, 2020 INSPECTIS Releases Version 5.0 of Inspection Software

Chester, CT — INSPECTIS AB has released ver- sion 5.0 of its INSPECTIS Software, offering a comprehensive collection of new overlay features, including a built-in DXF creator and an editor for producing scaled overlay graticules. The program now allows users to create a

DXF file from an object by optical edge detection. This can be done by opening an existing DXF file, editing, drawing patterns and shapes and adding text and overlay images. The image can be saved in DXF or PNG formats and displayed as a digital graticule on the live image. A live image can be overlaid on a reference

picture with timer-controlled interval display. It is an efficient tool for identifying missing compo- nents, incorrect polarity, misplacements, and other defects on assembled PCBs.

INSPECTIS Software version 5.0. INSPECTIS software is powerful, yet easy-to-

use live image view, capture, utility and metrology software, specially designed for the full range of

INSPECTIS HD, full HD, 4K, and USB 3.0 digital microscopes. Available in four functionality levels, basic, pro, proX, and overlay, it provides an array of tools for the calibration of device magnification, live image overlays and comparison, focus stack- ing, annotations, and reporting. Its intuitive GUI offers icon-based function

tools, including: measurement; crosshair; grid and graticule; compare and image overlay; auto cali- bration; annotation and count; interval overlay with timer; auto and manual focus stacking; and memory presets. INSPECTIS software reduces time spent on

capture, analysis, measurements, and documenta- tion of inspection objects. Results can be exported or printed as certificates and reports with custom templates. INSPECTIS products are available in

the U.S. from Ascentech, LLC. Contact: Ascentech, LLC, 127

complements Windows programs. Since Windows and SMT soft-

ware work on two independent sys- tems, the SMT machine software and the system will continue to run sta- bly, even if the Windows system fails, due to updates or crashes. In addi- tion to saving time, this also increas- es plant availability. Another benefit of “thermal tools”

is the customer-oriented update rou- tine, which can be done by the user, without worrying about the different versions of Windows and saving time. The software is intuitively operated and does not require any long train- ings. With a two-level structure, users can select the page they need with only two clicks. This considerably reduces the effort needed for adjustments. The unique software design also includes case-related service pages and a spe- cially programmed “Smart Access” re-

mote maintenance tool. Contact: SMT North America, Inc., 2270 Pump Road, Suite A,
