Schleuniger Demos Latest Wire Processing Machines

Manchester, NH — Schleuniger is demonstrating select equipment from its comprehensive line of wire processing products at IPC APEX 2020. For the first time, the company will demonstrate its MultiStrip 9480 cut-and-strip machine with Smart - Detect, its highly innovative quality monitoring option. This sensor-con- trolled system monitors the complete stripping process and detects any contact between the stripping blade and the conductor, ensuring 100 per- cent quality with no nicks, cuts or missing strands. Also on display will be the com-

pany’s latest generation of benchtop coaxial cable stripping machines, the

CoaxStrip 6380 and CoaxStrip 6580. With a 20 percent increase in produc- tion output, this new family of pro- grammable, multi-step rotary strip- pers allows for precise stripping of coaxial, triaxial and multi-conductor cable, as well as single conductor wire. Additional

features include “cable end detection” for higher strip

length precision, “cable diameter ver- ification” for quality assurance, an “automatic cable retraction function” for easier processing of long strip lengths, and new stripping head designs to ensure that even very thin, hard-molded or slightly out-of- round insulations can be stripped. This exciting new generation of coax- ial cable stripping machines offers higher productivity and lower oper- ating costs Attendees will have the opportu-

nity to experience hands-on demon - strations of the Mercury-4 laser wire stripping machine, designed by Laser Wire Solutions. The machine strips wires and cables ranging in size from 50 to 6 AWG (0.001 to 16 mm2) and guarantees high-quality, nick-free stripping. The precision and flexibility of this machine produces high-quality production results and offers a wide range of processing capabilities. Other popular machines that

will be part of the exhibition include the EcoStrip 9380 cut-and-strip machine, the UniCrimp 100 crimping machine and a wide variety of bench- top wire stripping machines. As always, Schleuniger’s wire processing experts will be on hand to review wire samples and help find the right equip-

ment for visitors’ specific applications. Contact: Schleuniger, Inc., 87
