These can then be transported to the production line by AIVs, saving valuable employee time and raising facto- ry floor efficiency. Ongoing material supply
during production to avoid stops is a challenge that ASM engi- neers have also resolved. Tradi - tionally, if a reel runs empty dur- ing production, an operator must be at the machine.
SIPLACE AutoRefill Feeder elimi- nates these classic tape feeder issues, by allowing a second infeed (in addi- tion to the active component reel) to equip another tape. If the first reel runs empty, the
feeder automatically switches to the second tape reel. Operators can now proactively refill reels as time per- mits without any tape splicing. With the ability to prepare two reels on a feeder, many orders can be managed without any refill on the line and every switch is detected for gapless traceability. Whether operational objectives
