Surface Analyst Quality Control System
Cincinnati, OH — BTG has intro- duced its Surface Analyst XA, an au- tomated solution for evaluating ma- terial surfaces to reduce waste, re- work and recalls. Poorly prepared substrate surfaces can lead to bond- ing, coating, sealing, painting, or
process, the XA increases speed and efficiency by completing two second inspections on multiple surface points, mapping the surface to en- sure consistency and uniformity of surface quality. Inspections can be done on products ranging from elec- tronic components and medical de- vices to cast or machined metal parts and glass surfaces. The XA measurement process is
completely non-destructive. The unit uses highly-purified HPLC-grade water to prevent contamination of in- spected material surfaces. Touchless measurements limit cross contami- nation and operator error or varia- tion between inspections. Data cap- ture and transfer to MES is automat- ic with the powerful Archer software, providing statistical process control as well as long-term trend analysis that monitors process drift.
