Smyrna, GA — Murata has intro- duced its PQU650 series of open- frame, 650W AC-DC power supplies. The series offers high power density, with forced-air and convection cooled ambient ratings. The supplies offer a multitude of standard features, including wide output voltage adjust- ment range, auxiliary power rails, high transient capability, and a com- petitive price. The power supplies accept a


universal AC input voltage range of 90 to 264 VAC. Utilizing the latest LLC topology results in efficiency levels of up to 95 percent. The series maintains a high 450W convection- cooled rating. There are no system fan requirements for applications up to 450W at ambient temperatures as high as 122°F (50°C). With as little as 300 LFM

medical applications, the PQU650 is an AC-DC, U-channel open-frame PSU, which is certified to EN 60960 and IEC 60601 third edition medical standards, meeting 2 x MOPP pri- mary to secondary, and 1 x MOPP primary to chassis. An isolation fig- ure of 4 kV AC primary to secondary, and 1,500 VAC secondary to chassis are standard. The series comprises 10 models


with output ratings from 12 to 54V and 12.1 to 54.2A. Standard features include a power ok signal, PS on and remote sense, along with an auxil- iary output of 5V at 0.5A and a fan supply output of 12V at 0.6A. A safe- ty cover is offered as an optional extra and screw terminals or plug- gable header variants are also avail- able.
