Alliance Memory Adds CMOS DDR4 SDRAMs
San Carlos, CA — Alliance Memory has expanded its product offering with a new line of high-speed CMOS DDR4 SDRAMs. For improved per- formance over previous-generation DDR3 devices, the 4 Gb AS4C - 256M16D4 and AS4C512M8D4 offer lower power consumption and faster data transfer rates in 96-ball and 78- ball FPBG packages, respectively. Compared with DDR3 SDRAMs,
the devices reduce operating voltages from 1.5 to 1.2V (±0.06V) to increase battery life in portable electronics, such as notebook computers, smart- phones and tablets. For increased effi- ciency and performance in desktop computers and servers, the 256 Mb x 16-bit AS4C256M16D4 and 512M x 8- bit AS4C512M8D4 offer up to 16 memory banks and deliver faster clock speeds to 1,333 MHz for extremely high transfer rates of 2,400 Mp/s per pin (1,200 MHz) and 2,666 Mb/s per pin (1,333 MHz). With minimal die shrinks, the
DDR4 SDRAMs provide reliable drop- in, pin-for-pin compatible replace - ments for numerous similar solutions, eliminating the need for costly redesigns and part requalification. Offered in extended commercial and industrial temperature ranges, the devices are suitable for the industrial, medical, IoT, automotive, gaming, and consumer markets. The AS4C256M16D4 and AS4C -
512M8D4 support sequential and interleave burst types with read or write burst lengths of BL8/BC4 or 8 on the fly. An auto precharge function provides a self-timed row precharge initiated at the end of the burst sequence. Easy-to-use refresh func- tions include auto- or self-refresh. JEDEC- and RoHS-compliant, the

the use of ceramic for the moving bridge and spindle. It is more than three times stiffer than aluminum yet only one-third heavier by volume, resulting in higher machine accelera- tion and speed. Ceramic does not stress-relieve like aluminum, leading to better long-term dimensional sta- bility. The thermal expansion coeffi- cient of ceramic is like that of granite and four times lower than alu- minum, which makes the structure highly resilient to thermal move- ment. Ceramic is three times harder than aluminum, so is more resistant to abrasive wear and indentation. ALTERA is available with LK’s
