Duluth, GA — Viscom is highlighting its X8011-II and X7056-II 3D X-ray inspection systems, along with the S3088 ultra chrome and S3088 DT at IPC APEX 2020. The award-winning X7056-11 auto- matic X-ray inspection system offers extremely high throughput and superb image quality for the requirements of high-end electronics production. This inline AXI system can ensure precise
inspection of hidden solder joints and components in high-volume production. It is equipped with the xFastFlow transport module, which cuts PCB changing times. With this feature, up to three boards can be processed at the same time. The new handling design also means that significantly larg- er board sizes can be inspected and the scope of angled radiation is extended. The award-winning S3088 DT is configured
as standard with a dual-track system for use in automated optical inspection. The system offers a combination of affordability, efficien- cy, speed, and technical performance that meets all of the requirements of large-scale mass production, includ- ing full connection to state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 interfaces. The S3088 DT ensures reliable inspection of sophisticated 03015 components at an impressive rate of throughput. The connectors on BGA, QFNs

Smart Sonic Updates EnviroGuard Filter System
Cleveland, OH — Smart Sonic has recently updated its EnviroGuard system. This system provides all the functions of its predecessor, but at half the size and a lower cost. It is the first aqueous cleaner able to clean all types of solder paste with a closed-loop process. The company matched the
unique properties of its 440-R deter- gent to a specifically designed filtra- tion/UV system that facilitates closed-looping and zero VOCs of both the wash and rinse solutions. Normal operation only requires filter changes every one to three months, depending on use, contamination, maintenance, incoming water quali- ty, and ambient cleanliness. The EnviroGuard system is
designed to work in conjunction with any Smart Sonic stencil cleaning sys- tem. The 440-R chemistry and Smart Sonic’s stencil cleaners work best with DI or soft water. The company has found, especially in areas where DI water is not readily available, that
the EnviroGuard system
increases water quality and can elim- inate the need for DI water after the
