Midleton 3 - 1 Ballincollig Goalscorers: Andrew

Knowles, Adam Wilson, James McCarthy. Great

away cup win

for the lads this morning on a difficult heavy pitch, Midleton started slow but really came into the game after 10/15min and really took the game to Ballincol- lig, Adam Wilson opened the scoring deservedly on 30min from a world class through ball from Jake He- garty which took out 3 Ball- incollig defenders at once, Wilson raced through and finished calmly. Knowles doubled the lead from a well worked corner and a cheeky back heel found the bottom corner. Ballincollig grabbed one back on 60min from a rare lapse in Midleton defence to

capitalise, in fairness other than that Midleton

now have Tramore away in the intermediate cup next Sunday morning at 10.45, again all support greatly appreciated.

U16 Girls League Midleton 9 - 0 Riverstown The first game of the

year and they girls got off to a flyer with 4 goals in- side the first 10 minutes. The first from Rachel and the second, the pick of the lot from new girl Momoku who hit a peach of a shot from the right edge of the area over their keeper into the far off top corner. This was followed by Rachel again and Momoku again before Rachel completed her hat trick before the break. The second half continued with 2 from Chi Chi and 2 from Ashling completing a great start to the season. Well done to all the girls who played their part in what was a very young team. Excellent per- formance from Vivienne in goals particularly the finger tip full length save in the second half. Lucy, Em- ma,Nicole and Lana also excelled in defence, as did Mischa,Roisin and Holly in Midfield and Deara was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions. Team: Vivienne Glee-
