girl, musical-comedy trio, The Nualas, are coming to Ballymaloe Grainstore on Friday 3 November at 8pm. Expect an evening of scintillating new song, spleen-rupturingly hilari- ous new chat, and a stun- ningly bendy repertoire of new moves, despite the fact that they’ve lost all feeling from the waist down (the spanx). Since their first outing in 1995, their unique brand of intricately-arranged, self-penned songs and pro- vocative perspective on everything from spanx to hors d’oeuvres to global apocalypse has wowed au- diences from Singapore to Shanagarry.
In an utterly fabulous career they’ve played ex-
tended seasons in London, Melbourne and New York, written and recorded sev- eral series for BBC Radio 4, appeared at the Royal Albert
Hall, released a
video (yes, ‘video’) with Sony, split up and got back together again, clocked up innumerable TV appear- ances, and met Chris de Burgh in the flesh. Now, with this fabulous
