Youghal, Clare and ARC Cancer Support Centre became a refuge for many people, each of whom needed different kinds of help. Clare would pop the kettle on, make the tea, and sit with them.

versation led to encour- agement, which followed on to hope, leading to advice.
Nobody ever left
Clare’s door without feel- ing better, bringing with them the gentleness of a very professional person who understands what

can be like to have can- cer, and what it can mean to the loving families in- volved. She was a true friend to many. Clare O’Neill will be
missed. She will never be forgotten. Ar dheis Dé go raibh Sí.
