May Carrigtwohill came in
to this game needing a win after coming close against Mallow last week. They started well and with their first real passage of play down the right they scored a goal. Jack O’Ma- hony took a throw-in and found Cormac Flynn, who in turn found Jack Horgan on the edge of the box who blasted it in off the crossbar. A great finish. As the first half wore
on Carrigtwohill were competing very well in the middle of the park and created a few chances with
both David Rooney and Robert Adam testing the keeper. However, as so of- ten happen the home team started to let Passage back into the match and they should have been level only for some last ditch de- fending from Cillian Car- roll and Niall Hannigan. Carrigtwohill started
the second half with the main objective to keep a clean sheet as we knew we would create chances as the game wore on. As passage pushed forward it left a lot of space for Car- rigtwohill to exploit - first down the right through Alex Canty and then on the left between David Folarin and Jack Horgan but they just couldnt find
that second goal. Passage
were start-
ing to create chances as well but some great saves from Darragh Desmond in goals kept them at bay. Carrigtwohill had a chance to go two up after a great cross from Robert Adam just evaded Ben Malito and Alex Canty. Passage had a great chance to equalise with 5 minutes remaining but somehow it did not go in. Then Car- rigtwohill had a breakaway chance. After good work from Daragh Hoare, Scott McCarthy found Cormac who in turn found Robert Adam who calmly round- ed the keeper and slotted home to ensure the result! A good team performance

der-9’s had another local derby for the second week in a row in their league. This week they played Glounthane in Ballyadam. The conditions were per- fect for the latest round of our league matches. With the games coming
