Warm Welcome Extended To
Clonpriest Annual Open Air Mass
info@eastcorkjournal.ie Lucky Kate Wins €3,600 in YRFC Lotto by DENISE FITZGERALD Youghal’s Roger O’Hal-
loran, The Point Bar, has been a constant supporter of Youghal Rugby Club Lotto Draw since it com- menced eighteen years ago. He has bought two tickets every month since then and told The East Cork Jour- nal that one is for his son Eoin, and the other for his daughter Kate. Last week, Roger received a telephone call from Ciara O’Flaherty to tell him that the Lotto
of €3,600 had been won on one of his ticket numbers-it was Kate’s! On Friday night Rog-
er and Kate arrived in the Clubhouse at Frogmore where the cheque was be- ing presented by President, Aidan Daly and members of the Lotto Committee, Pad Jo and Kevin. A Leaving Cert student
at Pobalscoil na Tríonóide, Kate told The East Cork Journal “I thought Dad was codding me. I just couldn’t believe it!” De- lighted to receive the
cheque, Kate said “Dad is very good really. He has been buying the tickets for us every month and when I told him I would share it with him, he said he won’t take any of it”. Asked by The East Cork
Journal about her plans for spending the money she said “I have applied to do Law and Business in UCC and it will be a great help towards that. ‘But ‘ Kate continued, “I think I might have a little holiday for myself first!!” Congratulations Kate (and Roger!)
