Irish Wheelchair Association The Irish Wheelchair Association Annual Gener-


al Meeting and Annual Conference took place last weekend Saturday 13th May, 2017 in the INEC Cen- tre, Killarney and was attended by participant mem- bers, helpers, staff members and branch members from all over the Country. There were motions on all topics and problems regarding people with disabil- ities discussed by participant members and all were dealt with in a caring manner. The weekend was not without a social aspect and on Saturday night the Annual Dinner was held and was a very enjoy- able event.


Dinner and music were provided and


during the night the Annual Awards were presented. At last year’s A.G.M. Mrs Kathleen Woulfe was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) has a vision of an Ire- land where people with disabilities enjoy equal rights, choices and opportunities in how they live their lives, and where our country is a model worldwide for a truly inclusive society.
