May 2017 Gaelscoil Choráin Youghal Celebrates First Holy Communions by DENISE FITZGERALD

The Holy Family decorated


to


welcome the children of Gaelscoil Choráin as they arrived on Saturday, May 13, to receive their First Holy Communion. Fr Pat Corkery CC per-


formed the Communion Mass for the seventeen boys and twenty two girls, who were accompanied by parents, relatives, friends and neighbours. The chil-


dren were all involved in the Communion Ceremo- ny, with each having their own special part to play. The school Choir with sixty five children sang


beautifully throughout the service to the music provid- ed by teachers Donncha, Cáit, Póilín, and Caoimhín with the help of some of the young students.


Following Mass the


Communicants, with their families and relatives, fol- lowed the lovely Gaelscoil Choráin tradition of meet- ing in the school Halla


where they enjoyed teas, coffees, refreshments and chat together before head- ing off to enjoy one of the most special days of their lives.
