Saline, MI — Saline Lectronics has purchased and installed Schunk Electric’s SAR-800-B 1-CL high- performance router in a sale fa- cilitated by The Murray Perci- val Company. Lectronics is now able to

offer customers better quality service for odd-shaped PCB as- semblies and more versatility in depanelization methods. The company and its cus-

tomers have already benefitted from the router’s automatic tool exchange, broken tool detection and bit control for different lev- els. In addition, the router offers automatic pin support and does not require much pressure for operation. Using Gerber data and CAD information it deter- mines where pins should be au- tomatically, resulting in fast set-up times. The router has a bit work-

ing area of 450 x 400 mm (17.72 x 15.75 in.) and offers short cycle times due to its high-speed linear motors. With offline creation of the

NC programs using a CAD/ CAM system, its simple to oper- ate, easy to use, and contains the latest IPC technology. The company looks to use

the tool as it manufactures more as- semblies for the aerospace industry and other high-reliability markets. The router allows the company to depanelize PCBs much faster,
