Yamaichi Develops High Speed Connector System

Chandler, AZ — Yamaichi Elec - tronics has developed a new CFP2 56 Gbps host and plug connector system designed mainly for analog coherent optics modules or CFP2 modules that require reliable, high-speed perform- ance. The system is able to support applications using 25 Gbps x 10 channels or 50 Gbps x 4 channels. Yamaichi has already launched

a complete range of CFP, CFP2, CFP4, and CFP8 connector systems all following MSA specifications, and supporting customers’ 100G compo- nents. The new CFP2 56 Gbps con-

nector is also designed in accordance with MSA specifications. When compared with general

CFP2 28 Gbps connectors, both inser- tion loss and return loss of the CFP2 56G connector are better by approxi- mately 2 dB. The CFP2 56 Gbps’ mechanical features are compatible

with CFP2 28 Gbps connector. Contact: Yamaichi Electronics
