September, 2016 CUI Launches Line of 10W AC/DC Power Supplies
Tualatin, OR — CUI has launched a new line of DoE level VI and CoC Tier 2-compliant wall plug- in AC/DC power supplies with integrated USB con- nectors. The 10W SMI10USB, SWI10NUSB and SWI10EUSB are all designed to meet the stringent average efficiency and no-load power requirements mandated by the U.S. Department of Energy that went into effect earlier this year. The models also meet the European Union’s January 2018 CoC Tier 2 directive that will add additional power con- sumption limits at 10 percent load levels. The SWI10NUSB and SWI10EUSB are ultra-
compact, fixed-blade, wall plug adapters with foot- prints as small as 2.03 x 1.52 x 0.93 in. (51.5 x 38.5 x 23.5 mm), placing them among the industry’s smallest 10W AC/DC power supplies with inte- grated USB connectors. Both adapters include sin- gle 5 VDC regulated outputs with a wide universal input voltage range from 90 to 264 VAC. Both
series have a no-load power consumption of less than 0.075W and provide over-current, over-volt- age and short circuit protection. With fixed input blades for North American
and Japanese applications, the SWI10NUSB has UL/cUL and PSE safety approvals, while the SWI10EUSB with European fixed input blades has CE and GS approvals. Designed for global applications,
the
SMI10USB includes interchangeable AC blade options for North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and China. The 10W multi- blade adapter also has a 5 VDC single regulated output and a wide universal input voltage range of 90 to 264 VAC. The series meets the Level VI stan- dard’s no-load power consumption requirement of less than 0.1W while carrying UL/cUL, CE, GS, RCM, CCC, and PSE safety approvals. All three models meet Class B limits for con-
