Winner –M&A, United States
Mark R High is a member in the Detroit office of Dickinson Wright PLLC, where he has practised law for 25 years. He practises primarily in the business organizations, corporate governance, corporate finance and M&A areas for both Fortune 500-level clients and closely held companies. He has served as legal counsel for clients based in more than a dozen countries on five continents and in a number of different industries. Mr High understands that no individual earns an M&A
award. “M&A is a team effort, requiring contributions from a number of specialties,” he observes. “Multiple areas – such as tax, labour, real estate and intellectual property – can be needed in any given transaction. This award recognizes that Dickinson Wright’s breadth and depth of practices make it well suited to provide efficient and responsive service to clients.” Dickinson Wright has more than 260 attorneys, with offices in five cities in Michigan, Nashville (Tennessee), Washington, DC, Phoenix (Arizona) and Toronto (Ontario, Canada). Founded in 1878, it has long been a leader in the legal community, having expertise in more than 40 areas of the law. Mr High received a BA with honours from The College of
Wooster (Ohio) and his JD from Duke University School of Law. He is a past chair of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, is active in the American Bar Association’s Section of Business Law and is co-chair of the United States Law Firm Group’s Corporations Committee. He is listed in the current
editions of Chambers USA, Best Lawyers and SuperLawyers.
