Fabrizio Daverio is a founding partner of Studio Legale Daverio & Florio, which he established in 2001 together with Salvatore Florio. The firm specializes in all aspects of labour law and offers assistance and advice to its clients through three offices in Milan, Rome and Turin; at international level, Mr Daverio collaborates with leading foreign law firms. Over the years he has gained considerable experience in the field of employment and welfare law. He has also developed the non-litigation side of the business, such as procedures concerning the employment implications of winding-up, merger, transfer of undertakings, outsourcing, subcontracting, collective redundancy and employee use of IT and internet services. From time to time he organizes private forums on labour law issues, in order to illustrate to clients the range of opportunities and solutions to various problems. He has written numerous articles in newspapers and periodicals on the subject of labour law and in 2009 he edited The European Labour Code, an annotated collection of the most important EU rules on employment relations, together with Professor Vincenzo Ferrante, a partner at the firm. In November 2009 he lectured at the Congress on Occupational Stress and Psychosocial Risks organized by the Italian Association of Integrated Psychotherapy for Social Development, explaining the main regulatory and practical applications concerning stress and work undertaken by the labour courts.
A founder member of the Association of Italian Labour Lawyers, he has been a member of the association’s Board of Arbitrators since 2007. He is also a member of the Labour Commission of the Board of the Chartered Accountants of Milan.
