• the muscles and tendons • the skeleton and ligaments.

Muscle temperature increases as the muscles begin to work harder
tendons connect muscles to bones ligaments connect bones to other bones
As muscles warm up they become more pliable – this means they become more fl exible
As they become more pliable, the risk of straining a muscle decreases
