Conditioned practice is when the rules of a practice game are changed in order to focus on particular skills.
Intro
In 1 minute list the diff erent conditioned practice you have used in a sport of your choice.
Conditioned practice allows a performer to apply skills in a more realistic setting. But the change of rules will encourage them to do things they wouldn’t normally do in a real game.
Examples of conditioned practice include: • Reduced numbers of players. • Only allowed to score from certain zones of the pitch.
• Changes to rules about tackling, e.g. touch rugby. Touch rugby can be used to remove tackling and focus on passing and movement.
• Making all players touch the ball before returning, e.g. in seated volleyball.
