The wise consumer We must be able to distinguish between the things we want and those we actually need.
Needs are things we cannot do without, something you must have to survive and live, e.g. food, water, clothing, shelter and warmth. Wants are things we would like to have but do not need to survive, e.g. holidays, expensive cars and smart phones.

A priority is something that is very important to you. A luxury is something inessential that’s difficult to get – either due to expense or rarity – that is extravagant and brings great pleasure to the owner.
