AGS continues customer focus during Covid-19 pandemic
AGS - COVID-19 SUPPORT
Julia Boguslawski Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Investor Relations, AGS
As the COVID-19 pandemic forced companies to take immediate action to keep employees safe and employ business continuity measures, global game-maker AGS continued to focus on customer relationships, company culture, and community.
With worldwide headquarters in Las Vegas, and offices and employees across the U.S. and in Australia, Mexico, Tel-Aviv, and the UK, AGS temporarily closed most of its physical locations and asked employees to work from home. AGS kept communication flowing to employees through regular Town Hall meetings; weekly team/department virtual meetings; consistent companywide email communications no less than one to two times a week; and its internal social media channel Yammer.
AGS Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Investor Relations Julia Boguslawski said, “Although we weren’t together physically, we were able to use the Microsoft Teams platform effectively to conduct global Town Halls and department meetings. We also communicated with our employees at least once per week via email, providing them with updates on AGS, our industry, and useful tools and resources for working at home and for staying safe and healthy during COVID-19. Our CEO David Lopez was passionately committed to speaking with employees regularly through live Town Halls, and employees appreciated multiple opportunities to hear from our leadership and ask questions in real-time.”
AGS’ sales and service teams remained in close contact with customers during the pandemic, providing support during the temporary shut- down of casinos and as casinos began to
re-open. To address casinos’ concerns about keeping players safe, AGS provided guidance and support on slot floor social distancing configurations. For its table customers, AGS partnered with Tioli Gaming to offer a plexiglass solution called VisiDeal Shield to protect players and casino staff from coughs, sneezing, and air droplets – while maintaining the community spirit of table-game play. And AGS’ real-money gaming and social gaming business saw increased play as players sought their gaming entertainment online. AGS received its Pennsylvania Interactive Gaming Manufacturer License and now has partnerships to offer its online real-money games in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to Parx Casino, Rush Street Interactive, Caesars Entertainment, Golden Nugget, Kindred Group, Mohegan Sun, and Resorts World.

In keeping with its spirit of service, although its employees and customers remained AGS’ top priority, the company stayed close to its communities during COVID-19, donating N95 masks, medical grade rubber gloves, and other medical supplies to hospitals in Oklahoma City, where AGS manufactures games. In Las Vegas, AGS supported local graduating high school seniors by partnering with the Vegas Golden Knights National Hockey League team to recognize 2020 graduates who missed key milestones like prom and graduation ceremonies. Called the #GoldenGrad Twitter promotion, AGS and the Vegas Golden Knights teamed up to recognise the graduates and randomly reward three people with a MacBook Pro, AirPods Pro headphones, and meet-up with a Vegas Golden Knights ambassador.
For its ‘AGS Women Rise’ initiative, a commitment by AGS to support women’s advancement and leadership, AGS engaged Lauren Bay Regula, a two-time Olympian, to conduct webinars for AGS’ female employees on topics related to developing a high-performance mindset and how to be a strong woman while balancing career, family, and other priorities. AGS also offered virtual educational and wellness opportunities for employees throughout the pandemic, including webinars on immune health and business performance, biweekly meditations, and weekly bodyweight fitness classes.
