Zitro brought the shocks
and surprises to G2E event At an incredibly busy booth, G3 stole 20 minutes with one of the busiest men in the gaming industry, Johnny Ortiz, to discuss the latest collection of machines and slots from gaming specialist, Zitro.
What has been the reception at G2E to the new Allure and Illusion range? Outstanding! All visitors where visibly impressed by both cabinets as well as by it’s terrific new content. We have sold of over 2.000 units in the show which came as a surprise, even to us! It is not normal to sell in the show and of course after the show we are selling much more. I could not be more pleased with how the presentation went at G2E.
What markets are these new machines intended for and specifically what has been the response at the show from these sectors? Te cabinets have been designed for the video slot market globally. We like to take a very generic approach when designing a new product, and then we fine-tune it for specific markets that have particular regulatory requirements, or even player-habit needs, that exist in the various cultural environments we place our products. But what the success of Link King has told us, is that a great game works everywhere!
What have been the biggest games from Zitro at G2E - and have titles such as the new 88 Link Lucky Charms, 88 Link Wild Duels and Bashiba performed as expected? Yes! As mentioned before, we have sold many more units that we even thought we would, during the show days, and, of course, now that the show is over sales keep on going! We have already installed numerous banks of our new multigame Bashiba Link on ILLUSION and the ALLURE games 88 Link Wild Duels and 88 Link Lucky Charms and the performance is even better than our LINK products!!!
88 Link Shock is a new concept for the industry, enabling operators to link various Shock banks to

a single mystery prize. Have operators grasped the potential of this new concept? Te beauty about our “Shock” products is that it allows operators to link the various games to the same mystery jackpot, and not only provide differentiated game mechanics and math models, but also the different form-factors, tailored to specific player’s needs.
It is a new concept where we combine different cabinet models with distinctive game titles to create a “SHOCK LOUNGE” in which the common mystery “Shock” jackpot is triggered with high frequency. Tere are already several casinos where we are installing this amazing novelty and soon we will be publishing pictures where you can see how spectacular this looks on the casino floor!
Since a huge number of buyers at G2E hail from Latin America, what are these operators looking achieve from their slots in 2019-2020, and why is Zitro so successful at meeting their needs? I like to joke about the fact that we are not manufacturers, but we own a manufacturing facility. What I want to say with this, is that we
know very well what the operators true pain points are, and everything we create at Zitro, is created with the intention to not only eliminate these pain points, but to create products and services that provide operators with solutions they didn’t even know they needed. We think ahead of the rest, but with an operator’s mind- set because we understand their concerns.
As a barometer for the year ahead, what has Zitro learned from G2E about the market into 2020 and how the company will shape its offer for international markets? G2E is always a great opportunity to see what the rest of the industry is doing and where trends may be leading to. Some of what has been presented will be great hits and some will not prosper as their creators may think. Te future is unpredictable and the only think I like to trust in, is the vision and creativity of my own team. We create what nobody does because we think different than the rest. Te future for Zitro is looking great, and our focus now is to keep doing what we do best, which is creating extraordinary gaming experiences, while we continue to materialize our global expansion plans.
Zytronic showcases latest touch technology at G2E
Zytronic, the touch technology provider, introduced two unique concepts to its slot machine simulator at G2E 2019.
Te first concept features ‘floating’ LED lighting on the main screen, with LEDs connected and powered invisibly via a proprietary method embedded on the rear of the sensor within the viewable area of the display.
Te second concept demonstrated how game designers can guide player’s fingertips on the touch surface to ensure their eyes remain focused on gameplay by combining Zytronic’s expertise in glass with its in-house processing abilities. Zytronic also showcased their integrated technology at work in electronic gaming machines,

including the T84 Luxury Touch Table developed by EGT which uses an 84” Zytronic touch sensor with six independent and separately controlled player zones.
However, Ian Crosby, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Zytronic, already had his eyes set on the technology provider’s plans for 2020: “At next year’s G2E showcase, we will be crafting a case study on a new button technology we have been developing for touchscreens where the button is implemented on the deck. Te button technology would require no wires and would be totally transparent through the use of recess glass. We have been engaging in top down discussions with button and slot manufacturers to work with them in time of launch next year.”
