Tis is a really important and exciting time for our industry. Creating a new trade body that covers a broad spectrum of our industry has been talked about for a long time, but I’m really pleased that we’ve finally got there. Te Betting and Gaming Council not only represents the majority of betting and gaming, it represents 90 percent of the market. Covering small, medium and large companies from betting shops to casinos and online betting and gaming businesses.


Te mission of the Betting and Gaming Council is straight forward, it is to champion industry standards in betting and gaming to ensure an enjoyable, fair and safe betting and gaming experience for all customers.


In early November, we announced a package of Safer Gambling Commitments, representing 22 actions, to address the harm gambling can cause to customers and young people.


Te Safer Gambling Commitments represent the most comprehensive set of measures from a wide group of leaders across the sector to support the UK

Gambling Commission’s National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms. Tey will deliver long- term and fundamental changes in how gambling companies are run in the UK and how they empower, protect and support their customers.
