NGL Buys Novomatic Lottery Solutions EMEA


Next Generation Lotteries (NGL) has bought Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS) from Novomatic AG. Te acquisition closed in Vienna last month


NGL is keeping the existing NLS locations in Austria (HQ), Serbia, Iceland, Tunisia and Spain in addition to NLG’s own offices in Norway and Germany

MALTA – Genting has acquired live casino specialist Authentic Gaming, creating significant opportunity for Genting to continue to bring together its offline and online casino experiences.


The deal will see Genting utilise a range of Authentic’s in-club streaming technologies and expertise across its land-based and digital estate, both in the UK and internationally. Authentic will continue to operate independently, with Genting Group looking to support the company's continual innovation and expansion. Genting will also continue to work with its existing and other new partners as it develops and diversifies its world class live casino product offering.


The purchase of Authentic, at a price of €15m, will help fuel Genting’s continued growth in the live casino sector both in the UK and across Europe, which analysts estimate to be worth €2.5bn in Europe alone. UK – SIS has added another key hire to its Sales team with the appointment of Angel Calderon, who will be focused on Spanish and Latin American markets. Calderon joins SIS after a successful 11- year stint at the Madrid-based global gaming group Codere, where he acquired a wealth of expertise in B2B business development across Operations, Commercial Sales and Marketing.


In his new role as Digital Sales Manager, based in Madrid, Calderon will be responsible for driving the growth of SIS’s presence in Spanish speaking markets both online and in retail.


UK – Blueprint Gaming has acquired specialist UK games developer Livewire Gaming, in a move which further strengthens its position as a leading supplier of slots to all sectors of the gaming industry.


Doncaster-based Livewire Gaming has built a strong reputation for creating quality Category C, B3, D and B4 games for the UK market, many of which have been developed in collaboration with Blueprint Gaming. As part of this agreement, Livewire will remain an independent studio focused on the development of land-based games under the leadership of existing director Alan Claypole.


The acquisition will significantly boost Blueprint’s land-based development capabilities, particularly in producing games for the Cat C market.

Next Generation Lotteries (NGL) has bought Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS) from Novomatic AG. Te acquisition was closed on October 31 in Vienna and from November 1 NGL was the sole shareholder and owner of the NLS Group, including all intellectual property, all subsidiaries, and all existing NLS contracts.

Novomatic UK has selected the safer gambling tool Gamblewise for its adult gaming centres (AGCs) in the UK. Gamblewise is the first cross-sector, multi- operator safer gambling tool to be made available to both operators and gamblers across the UK. Te Gamblewise service is expected to be fully live in every Luxury Leisure AGC by the end of November.


“For some time now we have offered our customers a number of options to manage their time spent gambling and have been seeking to identify practical tools that can complement them. Having explored some options, we conducted a trial in a number of our venues with Gamblewise which gave us a clear indication of its technical effectiveness and also that there was an appetite for this kind of tool among our customer base,” Mark Tompson, head of risk and compliance, Luxury Leisure Talarius said.
