New Flex cabinet and a host of 4K titles highlights of Everi booth

Te Empire Flex cabinet was the star attraction on the Everi booth at G2E Las Vegas. Featuring a new form factor with a unique lighting architecture and extensions for player-popular cabinets and game themes. Te centrepiece of the cabinet was the very subtly curved screen with integrated side panels for privacy that accommodates both pods, banks and merchandising.

Te new Empire Flex video platform features a 49- inch flexed display on top of the company’s popular Empire MPX base with 4K content, flexible integrated light bars, and a larger enhanced glass button deck. Expected to hit casino floors in the first half of 2020, the Empire Flex debuted at G2E 2019 with 14 unique themes including four games for the new Beast series.

Beast series games give players 1,024 different ways to win with 4K visual engagement and innovative horizontal expanding reels. Wicked Wheel Panda and Wicked Wheel Fire Phoenix feature a video wheel bonus round with random multipliers and nudges. “Wicked Wheel games can be banked or standalone, with players able to interact with any part of the fabulous 4K screen,” explained Julie Graham, Game Producer, Everi. “Characters in both Fire Phoenix and Wicked Wheel Panda help players, knocking out the minor prizes and moving the wheel to a better prize as part of a fun dynamic.”

Everi also announced the anticipated sequel to Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, having introduced the first slot in the series at last year’s G2E to great acclaim on the fully featured Empire Arena banked product. Two new themes launched in Vegas with heart-pounding bank-wide bonus features. Empire Arena offers an immersive gaming experience for players and flexibility in banking configurations for operators, starting with three to eight units. Te bank features edge-lit shelves and circular signage that amplifies the product’s merchandising capabilities.

Te Vault also debuted on the Empire Arena with three base games that feature Vault Respins, a lock and respin gameplay mechanic, free spins and pick bonuses, together with the bank-wide bonus Diamond Rush. Te attention-grabbing alert prepares players for a fast rate of competitive, community style play where all players compete to deplete the vault and “steal” diamonds from other players on the bank.

Everi also presented two licensed themes on its larger-than-life hardware platform Renegade 3600 – Press Your Luck and Snoop Dogg Presents Te Joker’s Wild. Press Your Luck is based on the 1980s television game show and revived on ABC primetime in June 2019. “Te theme features two base games along with an innovative hold-and- respin bonus, giving players the opportunity to experience the iconic game show right on the floor,” explained Julie on the booth at G2E. “Te

game announcer character again helps the player to win bigger rewards and bonuses. We haven’t sought to replicate the show, but instead incorporate elements with which players will be familiar and recognise instantly.”

Following its sneak peek at last year’s G2E, the new Empire DCX cabinet was back this year and ready for action with Monsterverse featuring Kong and Godzilla in 4K game play. Based on the shared fictional cinematic universe from Legendary Entertainment, Monsterverse offers the Monster Bet that dares players to bet big and play four arrays at once. Two additional games, Te Mask, based on New Line Cinema’s 1994 hit comedy, and Te Karate Kid, based on the popular feature film franchise that debuted in 1984, also featured prominently on the display at G2E and will be out on casino floors in late 2019. On the interactive side of the company, Marshall Adair, VP and EP Digital and Interactive, explained that the company’s social gaming offer is moving into pay to play. “We believe the three-reel stepper is under-served online,” stated Mr. Adair. “We are launching real money online games in North America. We have introduced our range in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Colombia. We expect to go live by end of the year in New Jersey and be fully integrated in New Jersey and Pennsylvania before the end of the year.”

Te games utilise a remote game server, which means that Everi needs to intervene only to a very small degree as the math remains the same, which mean the game is the same and the regulations remain consistent. “Our games pass through approvals very quickly,” agreed Mr. Adair. “We pride ourselves on the implementation of portrait and landscape games, which are not separate, with players choosing their preference for any game. Te next markets for these games with be Canada, before we target the UK and Europe in 2020.”
