Panda. However, the standout on the booth was the new Samurai Beauty, including the towering merchandising wall integrated into the gameplay as a stunning backdrop. Te Samurai Beauty installation featured 2x3 V.I.P. Lounge Curve 1.43 cabinets surrounded by a double-sided 4x3 LED screen video wall featuring game-specific, choreographed content. Visitors were drawn to the hand-drawn visuals and smooth gameplay of the new, Asian-themed linked progressive that was presented with a photo booth featuring two real-life Samurai Beauties, plus some befitting stage props at G2E.
It was very pointed that NOVOMATIC branding has thus far centred around ‘winning’ and ‘leading,’ but the message at G2E was very personal to reflect how the games have been made with a love for detail. Samurai Beauty feels like a product that can go toe-to-toe with any competitor in the market, offering one of the highest levels of graphical fidelity of any game at G2E, with customers engaging strongly with the concept and artwork. Called Onna-bugeisha (female martial artist), female samurai belonged to Japanese nobility and were engaged in battle alongside men in times of need and were renowned as being some of Japan’s fiercest warriors. It’s likely that Samurai Beauty is set to become one of NOVOMATIC’s fiercest competitors on slot floors in future too.
In addition to a number of new slot titles, one of the big pushes Novomatic is making into the US market, both in terms of brand and product awareness, is on the company’s self-service sports betting product, ActionBook, which has begun installations in US markets. Located in the centre of the NOVOMATIC booth was an authentic sports lounge, featuring the NOVOMATIC ActionBook self-service sports betting kiosk. Tis is a product designed for US casino customers who are inclined to integrate a sports betting offer into their portfolio using a self-service terminal that fulfils the highest casino standards in terms of security, maintenance and style. Building upon another core competence and propelled by an exciting mix of hardware, new games and product management, US Commercial, Tribal and VGT operators were treated to a broad suite of products and technology to boost their operations: games and game mixes, progressive jackpots, sports betting kiosks, system solutions and ETGs.
VGT markets in Illinois and Pennsylvania saw new mixes on display at G2E, complemented by the modular myACP casino management system, which showcased new player recognition modules for VGT operators in Illinois, including a new NOVO Rewards player recognition kiosk. “MyACP casino management system is a solution that offers a very competitive product for both casino and street gaming locations,” explained Sonya Nikolova, Vice President of Sales for Africa and Asia.
“MyACP is designed as a scaleable solution, from full-size casino properties with live tables and casino slots through to street machine operations. MyACP was originally designed as a slot operation navigational tool, but has since evolved to respond to wider market trends and feature all the functionality operator’s now need, including player registration, loyalty, marketing, slot transactions, TiTO, cashless, jackpots and business intelligence. MyACP can support wide area progressives and multi-site operations, is GLI certified, and most importantly for VGT markets such as Pennsylvania, has cashless support.”
Advantech-Innocore at G2E - Gaming Intelligence shines through as company experiences most successful Vegas show

“Tis year’s G2E was one of the most successful ever for Advantech” commented Koen Stomph, Advantech’s European Head of Sales for gaming. “We showed the latest technology for the intelligent heart of today’s sophisticated slot machines. Advantech as the largest industrial PC manufacturer offers an unrivalled range of product for gaming. We broke many records at the show and were very happy with the reception and interest in our latest products on show at G2E. Te increase in planned meetings and spontaneous visits by European companies was a clear sign of growing awareness and our strong proposition in this market.
Newly launched at G2E, the DPX-S450 is Advantech-Innocore’s latest motherboard for the gaming industry. It features the AMD’s top-end embedded platform, V1000 Embedded Ryzen, providing customers performance with field proven reliability and the peace of mind that massive scalability, longevity and future upgradeability offers.
Te second new platform Advantech launched at the show was the DPX-M270. Following the huge success of the DPX-E250 and DPX-E265, Advantech has released a new series of products – the “M-Series”. Tese products bring high performing, scalable platforms for gaming customers. Te unique “Side-expansion” bus is
used to add tailored IO solutions, either provided by Advantech or the OEM customer. Tese boards provide cost–effective, application- optimised platforms with versatility. DPX-M270 features the Intel 8th and 9th generation Core-I CPUs, up to 32GB of RAM, a full width Gen 3 PCI- e x16 graphics expansion slot, in addition to the on-board Intel graphics for three to seven monitor support. Tis wide range of price and performance, together with the modular expansion and new optional metal logic box, makes the DPX- M series ideal for new application areas such as sports betting terminals and kiosks.
Alongside its high-performance embedded solutions, the G2E booth in Vegas proved the perfect backdrop to showcase Advantech’s eye- popping range of LCD monitors. With screen sizes available from 7ins to 55ins and beyond, G2E saw the launch of several new touch monitors from Advantech. Curved screen models were on display, featuring concave C-Curve and J-curve 4k resolution high brightness touch monitors. Advantech’s wide range of computer solutions for mobile, point of sale, point of information and hospitality applications were also on show. Tese included all-in-one LCD computers, tablets, handhelds, and digital signage products. In particular, the new digital signage product DS- 100 received a lot of interest. Measuring only 115 x 110 x 20 mm, the powerful CPU/GPU in the DS- 100lite allows it to display dual independent HDMI outputs (4K 60fps + 1080P) whilst operating without a fan.
Toni Alicante, Advantech’s Marketing Manager, concluded: “G2E 2019 saw Advantech bring the largest international team of product specialists, sales and support. Te quality and quantity of leads was record breaking and overall the show was extremely positive for our company, underscoring our leading position as a supplier to the gaming industry.”
