cabinets can be deployed in a wide range of configurations that seamlessly allow for social distancing and accommodate plexiglass dividers for even further player protections. We have also incorporated an alert function within our Mobile Responder product that advises when an EGM has been vacated and requires cleaning.

We also continue to invest in our ETG, iGaming and Sports Betting teams and technologies. Tese are three gaming segments that have achieved tremendous growth since the onset of the pandemic. As we look to develop new cabinets for the casinos, IGT is actively evaluating how the design work with and enhances many of the new banking concepts that allow for more social distancing.

Do you think that player behaviour will change once the crisis is over? Do you think that Covid will change the design of IGT cabinets long-

term as a result? If so, how will IGT cabinet design reflect that change?

I believe the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic will have lasting effects on many aspects of our daily lives, casino engagement included. Because of this vast spectrum of player preferences, IGT is providing our customers with versatile hardware and content options that can please all players. One way we’re achieving this is through highly operator-configurable hardware. Our customers have to maximise the space on their casino floors, and linear banks are not always the ideal way to do this. For example, we recently released the Wheel of Fortune Mystery Link game on the PeakSlant49 Wheel cabinet.

When releasing this cabinet, we provided our customers with a range of configuration and merchandising options, including pods, which

provide more personal space than a side-by-side bank. We also partnered with plastic vendors to ensure our customers have cabinet-compatible dividers should that be a component of their social distancing strategy.

COVID-19 has also elevated the relevance of Electronic Table Games, as they reduce interpersonal contact and often lower labour costs. If casinos find it is more efficient to remove some of the table games, or lower price points on tables, and shift that play to ETGs: the players will adapt.

At IGT our design philosophy will be driven by the needs of our customers and we will continually monitor casino requests and shifts in the market to create great products for various customer segments. Tis includes the size and shape of machines, as well as enabling new technologies to meet market demands.
